TaLisa Brown, OTR/L, CHT
Growing up in Exeter, Nebraska, TaLisa Brown always knew she wanted to serve a close-knit rural community like the one that shaped her. She earned a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Exercise Science from Concordia University in Seward, NE where she played collegiate basketball for four years. She later earned her Master of Occupational Therapy from the College of Saint Mary in Omaha in 2013.
Over the next decade, TaLisa developed advanced expertise in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation. She became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) after completing more than 4,000 hours of direct hand-therapy practice and passing a comprehensive examination in upper-limb rehabilitation. The nationally recognized CHT credential also requires at least 3 years of professional experience.
Today, TaLisa is the only Certified Hand Therapist based in the northern Nebraska panhandle. She opened Niobrara Rehabilitation and Hand Therapy because individuals throughout the region deserve access to specialized care without traveling two hours to receive it. Owning her own practice also allows her to remain fully present for her family while continuing the work she loves.
TaLisa’s approach begins with understanding the person - not simply the diagnosis. Every plan of care is built around the activities that matter most in each patient’s daily life. Treatment emphasizes individualized care, practical education, and the tools patients need to participate confidently in their own recovery. TaLisa looks forward to working alongside you, supporting your goals, and helping you return to the activities that matter the most. She specializes in rehabilitation of the upper extremity: hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders. As a Certified Hand Therapist, TaLisa brings advanced training, extensive clinical experience, and focused knowledge of complex upper-extremity conditions to each plan of care - providing specialty-level rehabilitation close to home.
Care is individualized and intentionally one-on-one, giving you time to ask questions, understand your treatment, and feel supported throughout your recovery.
